ABOUT ME
BEHIND THE LENS
I have always had a passion for photography, developing and printing my B/W film. I now use a Digital Camera for my current work that are fine art limited edition Giclee prints on museum quality archival media. Through my experimental use of the Digital SLR Camera, the works that are created are experimental in their aesthetics as ordinary objects are transformed into vibrant abstract subjects. The works tend to look less like photos and more like paintings. By physically moving the camera the subject matter becomes distorted as the shutter is released.
The techniques I use to process the images are very similar to a darkroom, dodge and burn, add texture, sandwich negatives and adding borders.
Though now I am creating the same techniques using various digital software.
I am self-taught, constantly progressing and critiquing my work to better my artist’s practice.
I hope you have enjoyed viewing the images as much as I enjoyed making them.
